A different approach to stump removal
Stump grinding is useful when the goal is to reduce a stump below grade. Pulling is for property owners who want the main stump physically removed. Jim's purpose-built frame and multi-pulley rig can develop up to 130,000 pounds of system pulling force while directing that force upward.
Every stump is different. Tree species, trunk diameter, root spread, soil, slope, access, nearby improvements, and buried utilities all affect whether pulling is a safe and practical fit.
Stump pulling may be a good fit when you want to
- Replant, landscape, fence, or build where the stump currently sits
- Remove the main root ball instead of covering buried wood chips
- Clear one troublesome stump or discuss several at the same property
- Use a compact, purpose-built pulling system where site access allows
What to text for an accurate first look
Send clear photos from several angles, the stump's approximate diameter and height, your city, quantity, nearby structures, and the narrowest access point. Marking something familiar for scale helps.
